Sunday morning in the archipelago outside of Stockholm. Our friend Banfa Jawla came by. We knew we needed some photos for our new acetate colour - Caramel. Banfa is a great photographer, but we hadn’t really decided if he was there to take pictures or to be photographed himself. Anyways, we pretty soon realized that we felt more like making something than photographing something, so we went chasing for some fun materials to play around with.
We found a bunch of wire nets, and it was easy to see that they were a chair waiting to be made. We decided to make a garden chair, but a real one with actual plants (Hedera helix) as a part of the construction.
The Caramel acetate is made the same way we make all our acetate - entirely biodegradable, ecological and toxic-free. It’s developed together with Italian producer Mazzucchelli, and the lenses are from Carl Zeiss. The colour is a little hard to describe in words. It’s greenish and yellowish with a hint of brown, and the transparancy makes it easier to wear than you’d think. Limited quantities for now, but possibly re-stocked again next summer if you like it.
